Had some heavy rain yesterday and when we set off for work in the car this morning my gf let out a little squeel.....

As I set off water ran in from the top of the passenger footwell and went all over her feet causing her to jump like hell! Now I remember seeing the problem of damp passenger footwells cropping up on here quite a lot but as it's never affected me, until now, I never paid too much attention. And before anyone gets all smart arse on me and tells me to use the search facility, I searched for "water passenger footwell" using the keywords field and it came up with the following topics: Totty Calendar; Ford Racing Stainless Steel Centre Caps; Ireland 2006; Why did you buy a Puma etc. etc. etc. Believe it or not I didn't waste my time looking to see if the answer to my problems was nestled away in any of the aforementioned discussions.....

So, can anyone help with my little problem and what am I doing wrong when it comes to searching? ja_stupid.gif

Open the bonnet and have a look in top right hand corner, behind the fuse box, to see if the bung is still in place properly - its about 2 inches in diameter

I don't know what you boys were thinking of, but in Yorkshire the term "a bit wet" means stupid, as in "wet behind the ears"

if the term had just been "wet" without the clarification of "a bit" it would have meant something entirely different 18.gif
The joy you get when stepping into the puma is like the feeling you got at school when the TV was wheeled into the classroom!

Have to say, i was kinda dissapointed too wink.gif

All I can say is your avatar doesn't disappoint, Matt! You (or rather Jessie) have just provided a little welcome relief to an otherwise stressful day (In a purely easy on the eye kinda way of course! I don't mean I'm doing anything untoward under my desk at work even though the office is now empty!....)

First of all, I couldn't help but snigger like a schoolkid whose mate has just farted in front of the headmaster when I read the subject of this post. My first thought was she must really like your car wink.gif

Tears of joy you mean? ja_stupid.gif

Can't think what you mean. ja_stupid.gif
Perhaps I should have gone with my first choice of title - Moist Girlfriend.
Would that have helped clarify things?

yep searching would not be fruitfull as too many words..... but the Knowledge Base should been looked at because there are several water ingress articles smile.gif

good luck
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Well my rubber seems to be intact. Bit difficult to get in there to have a proper look but it's still in place. Should I smear something on it? ja_stupid.gif

It was a perfectly innocent reference to my grommet. Really, you people need to drag yourselves out of the gutter.
