Nick
Maximum I've had my Puma was 118mph with a tailwind and down hill over several miles!! The book is a calculated figure I believe.
Being able to do 65 in 2nd does not mean your engine is well as it is a function of gearing that allows 65. If your engine was poorly it would just get their very slowly, unless its very poorly!!

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem!"
NOS for the Puma is just under a grand for a 50hp package last time I looked.

Nitrous costs basically the same no matter how much you fire in as it's just the jets which are a different size, these only cost a few pounds, the solenoids are the same. You can get up to about 100bhp jetting from a standard system you'd get from someone like wizards of NOS. Wouldn't recommend that kind of a hike in a Puma though. I'd go for a 25bhp spray with a progressive controller and purge system. Saying that, to be honest I wouldn't go for either, just some sweet cams and head work, does the job all of the time and no worries about blowing the poo out of your engine.
I've also seen about 130 from my Puma but you need a whole lotta road to do it on.
I've seen plenty of corsa's running nothing extra but nitrous and they do fly. Wouldn't like to think how long the engine will last for though.
