When i was up at PumaSpeed i was reading old issues of Fast Ford and Performace Ford and read a couple of articles on rads.

They bought one for their project car and tested it to see if any benefits were gained.

Basically the engine temp of coolant/water etc etc was considerably lower and helped the car quite a bit.

I'm not looking for performance or anything like that just thought it was a good idea having a better Rad which was easily fitted and helped the car out and working under less stress.

They also did this for the oil too.

I was just wondering if anyone saw the same article? i noticed they did a Puma Rad kit for both and that they were not expensive at all.

I have googled but so far to no avail.

Helped as in extra power?

How would that help? As far as i know, there's an optimal temperature for an engine. Usually 80-90 for the water temp, 90 for the oil. Anything different is sub-optimal lubrication, thus not optimal.

Okay, on a track car these temperatures get a bit higher due to the thrashing (110 oil for example), that could benefit from an oil cooler. But on a normal street car?

It was just a test the Mag did on the car with the rads fitted.

It helped and was proved.

As said i'm not saying it would give performance as some may have thought.
