hello all

after spending months looking for something to trade in my saxo vts for I have finally bought a 2002 medium steel blue 1.7 puma.

after test driving one i was taken aback as to how well the thing went. I was originally looking at golf gti's or an mx-5 but after driving both those cars was thoroughly disapointed, they where pap (read-slow and unresponsive). drove a puma on the off chance, as I'd never really considered them before, but now realise why you guys like em so much. they drive superbly, and the 1.7 makes a great noise!. my vts was fast but only when you had the revs somewhere between 6 and 7 thousand, the puma has much better engine response and torque throughout the gears so feels faster all round, as well as not rattling like the french hatchback and having aircon etc and a great gearbox.

i.m not sure after driving them, why people swear by having to own VW's i don't know, they are heavy, slow and practically sedate. you would need an R32 to get any fun out of driving one i imagine.
