I've just been on Ebay and come across this stuff called K-seal permanent coolant leak repair. Apparently you put it in with your coolant and it seals leaks in the head gasket. Sounds a bit dubious to me, like something you'd see on a shopping channel, but just wondering if anyone has used it before or know anyone that has?

Another 'snake oil' me thinks. Google it and make your own mind up.

Personally I wouldn't entertain it, may as well crack an egg into the cooling system  ;)

K-SEAL is the best on market , it will not cure everything , but if k-seal can't cure your leak then nothing else will . when it first came on the market you had to drain the system fill up with plain water add the k-seal run till the system was at normal temp then drain and fill up with normal antifreeze / summer coolant mix. now you just add it to your system.

ps if your head gasket is blown it will not cure that, but a slight weep yes.

Have u used it before Phil?
I've read good & bad things about it but mostly good things to be honest. Only considering it cos its a hell of alot cheaper than a head gasket repair. Also wondering if it makes a gunky mess and stops u changing the head gasket in the future.

I did read somewhere the lengths one had to go through to remove the mess that was

left when a proper repair had to be carried out. I've never used this stuff but I think it is

of most use to the owners of 'K' series Rovers.  Their need is greater than ours  ;)

I have used it and it has worked , all I am saying is that it is the best product on the market ---- at the moment---- but I don't think it will cure a head gasket that has blown .
I work for a firm that sells -- radweld-- bars leaks etc and this has become the one we have the best feedback on from the garage trade, they all say the same -- its the best they have used.
