Hi All

Just had an MOT advisory that the sill might be gone where it meets the rear wing. Nice man didn't see if he could put his plastic hammer through the sill but was doubtful it was still sound.

To me it looks OK. There is some corrosion on the leading edge of the rear wing where it meets the sill but that looks surface. There is more corrosion around the same wheel arch. This looks more substantial (it's coming from the sharp edge inside the arch) but I still think it's surface.

Was thinking of a respray but for cosmetics not for structural reasons. Has anyone had extensive rust around the rear wings and especially the sill area? I know someone has sometime ago but I think that was corrosion where you couldn't see it - under the filler around the top of the new wing blend.

Ta!

PS Just checked and surprised myself in that I've written about this before - must be going nuts. And yes I was going to have it resprayed last year but after two months sitting in a compound waiting, I gave up and took the car home! Thinking again about doing it this year but struggling to find anywhere decent...
