On my way home from SimplyFord at Beaughlieu, and chasing a Scooby, I seem to have dropped all my gear box oil on the A31.
Can anyone recommend where I should take my FRP, and what it might cost. I am assuming a new gearbox.
PS I am in Guildford.

You might just have blown a drive shaft oil seal.
Are you sure it is gear box oil?

If you can get it to Southampton then Tremona Garage know these cars inside out. That said, if it is a gearbox issue any decent transmission specialist ought to be able to sort it out - there is nothing unusual about the gearboxes.

If worst comes to worst and it does need a re-build then slipping an LSD in there whilst you are at it would be a worthwhile investment. At least that's my plan if and when the gearbox goes. Oh, and replace the indent springs too as matter of course because they are inside the gearbox and difficult to get at. If they fail your knob goes all floppy (!) and apparently the gearbox has to be stripped down to replace them anyway which generally isn't economical for such minor parts.

Good luck.
