this project begins to be really intersting. Your car looks beautiful with this front bumper and wheels are so lovely with the dark anthracite grey

just got to work out how to get to the anti roll bar bush bolts without dropping the subframe, you can get too one bolt but not the inner one.

choices are i think....

as you say...drop subframe..... b Undo one side and bend up the bracket...getting it back down is awkward as hell but do'able ..lol... or c put the bolt up-side down through the underneath of the welded nut... and bash off the bloody nut with a hammer..lol and replace with your own locking nuts..ideally a philidas all metal locking nut...you have to re-use that exact length bolt tho on the inside one....

they are a serious pain in the arse to do... not much room in there at all.... i'd use the standard fit too in there, the PF squeek like crazy and are awful!

Was an unbelievable struggle to get those lower arms off wasn't it bud. Honestly have never had a bolt so solid or rusted before. Then the top mount for the strut was a pure evil bas*ard too!!!

The pics look good man, loving the brake lines and the pics don't do justice to how much bigger those discs are, I laughed out lud at the difference, it was ridiculous

Sorry I didn't make it back over today but had my own nightmare to sort out  but we'll put this one to bed next weekend. Don't make any other plans :) Need to get those bushes pressed too. You still want me to speak to the guys opposite work?

Al - if you need to change your ARB bushes, try to get a Z-S front ARB, and fit that at the same time. Doesn't make a huge difference, but will tighten things up a touch as it is a couple of mm thicker than the Puma item. Mine was swapped, and new bushes fitted, by lowering the back of the subframe.

If you still want those Mk3.5 bases, I should be down at the garage a week on Sat.

Is that an FRP base on the drivers seat?

yes mate if i could have them that would be great as they may sit lower than these ones.

its a puma seat base from toys4cars.com and slider.

alex that i bought them from off this site had bought and installed one seat but not the other.

gonna fit it at the weekend and see if i can get in with my helmet if not the seat base can be shortened by about an inch with some chopping and welding by someone who can fabricate lol.

You perhaps want to have enough head room to both be clear of banging your head when going over bumps etc. but also to have room in case of anything more so that you do not take the force through your helmet touching the roof line I think :)

So dropping the seat base would help seeing as you say you have the opportunity to do this?

Hi Mate,

Just wondering, I know you rubbed down your wheels but did you spray them also? and if so would you mind giving me a brief guide how you went about it?

Also whats the official colour you went with? Just look lighter than Anthracite, they look ace!
