Hi there people !!

Joined this site only last month, and already really happy with the replie's to my question's

Cheer's guy's !!! . Couple of time's didn't know what to do , but good advice really help's.
Anyway, bought a puma black edt with short mot n tax. ( £300 quid !!)
Not a bad start for 300 quid , telltale rust on arche's ,rear axle bushes gone and the most
amazing stone chip's on the front of the car !!!
If Patrick Moore was still alive he could make a new solar system !!!
Car has now been outside on my drive on axle stand's and iv'e
just finished covering the underside with WAXOYL !!!
Also just fitted new exhaust , done the axle bushes .
Took out the (really stupid carpet !!! inner arches )
and found on the drivers side by the bottom right hand side
the inner wing just below the fixing had rusted away from the main
chassis . Will i get away with welding a small plate over it ??
Also need advice on what cover to use, as this will be outside this winter
I'm out there doing my thing , trying to save what i think will be a future classic !!
Will post some picure's on how i'm doing once i talk to my daughter into doing it,
aint got a clue !!!

Hope for replie's

Perhaps a picture in a bit will help with replies on the wing :)
When I had my car outside I didn't cover it, will you still be driving your Puma or is it to cover and leave?
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Hi
Keep up the good workPosted Image
Those 'stupid' wheel arch liners actually do a good job protecting the arches from stone chips. Also help cut out road noise.
It's a misconception that they cause the arches to rust, that comes from inside the double skin.

HI Paul
Thank's for quick reply !!
You are the first person to back up the liner's !!
Iv'e alway's heard that when they get wet all the water
retain's at the bottom of the liner ( for ages !!)
and so causes the rust from the inner wing ??

Mine has the Liners, removed them to underseal etc and not a spot of rust underneath, the only problem I find with them is they are leaf magnets.....
