Hi everyone,

i'm in the process of buying a 1999 1.6 Ford Puma 97,000 miles. Was just wondering if theres any major things that i should be on the look out for? I'm buying the car off of a mate for £100!!!! he was going to scrap it because he couldnt afford it and doesnt really know anything about cars atall, i couldn't bare to see that happen to such a nice looking car that appears to be working perfectly fine.

i myself don't know too much about fixing and doing up cars but i figure for £100 its not a bad price to pay to start learning!

So far the only thing that ive noticed so far is that theres some superficial bubble rust on the wheel arch and theres a panel under the car that goes over the exhaust which has come loose and makes a rattling noise (some sort of heat protection panel maybe??)

Has anyone had the wheel arch welded before and know how much something like that would cost??? through some research ive seen its quite a common problem with the puma.

Thanks
