I had the opportunity to go out for the day today, but looked at the weather forecast and decided not to.

We got some heavy rain for a while this morning but by lunchtime it was drying up. This afternoon I have been considering whether I made the right decision, but I am now sat in the warmth of my house while it is hailing outside

Ben - 0; bbc.co.uk/weather - 1

(mind you it is sunny again now!)

Seems like you made the right choice to stay in if the weather not too good!!! I've been contemplating washing my car, its nice and bright out but the grey clouds keep putting me off.

I am at the University of Hertfordshire doing a Post Graduate Certificate in the Supervision of Midwives - 2 modules; The Principles of Statutory Supervision of Midwives (15 credits level 3) and Leading and Advancing the Practice of the Suprevision of Midwives (45 credits level M). It is 9 months and invloves some attended study days and some work based experience hours - all done alongside normal working! As someone who had only got a diploma when I qualified it is hard going with all the 'reflecting' and 'analysing' but it is nearly all done now!

I've changed 12 of mine over but I can't shift the remaining 4 ..... the person who put them on didn't know their own strength laugh.gif

Not at all – it is all very stressful and I am taking advantage of all the help I can get. Can't see myself going on to do the complete masters degree unless I want to totally loose any sanity I have left! blink.gif

Ah, now I had that problem and my dad helped me - Bill had bought me an extending stick thing designed for such problems and my dad told me it is sometimes easier to lift the bar up rather than push it down - and it worked a treat, even for weakling little me! When I put them back on, again tip from my daddy, I used the extending stick thing but in its small size to tighten them cos then it will be easier to undo them when it is fully extended!

Ok, I know it isn't a stick but Bill is watching lots of horses running on the TV so I can't ask him what the technical term is for it! sad.gif

Oh no! Perhaps you need a longer stick?! I bet it was one of the air-pressure-wheel-nut-putter-on machines that made them so tight! If it was a jam jar I would suggest you run it under the hot tap ….. unsure.gif

maybe you should! The more length the better the force that can be used - hence very tight nuts! blush.gif

I have just been and done my last 4 - put on my hat, scarf and gloves and did them using my 'extending wheel rench' to give it it's proper title!!!
