what cams out there are an upgrade to racing puma cams on the 1.7??

newman only lift to 280

and piper made the frp cams so buying from them will be buying exaclty the same cam?

ss4's are not ideal as i would like to keep the vct

what other options are there?

not sure what the lift is on the frp cams but i was thinking 285 would be what im looking at...

discuss

Piper Have different Cams, PUMBP285 could be a solution for you for Power Upgrade, but perhaps FRP inlet manifold is too restrictive for these cams....

called piper about this the other day and they do a fast road cam which should lift by 10-15bhp and race cams which would need different injectors etc not sure how much more bhp tho.

Its piper cams i want to use when i get round to the engine rebuild:D

I'm not king in english but:
-PUMRBP270 are standard FRP Cams
-PUMBP285 are uprated cams for FRP or 1.7
-PUMBP300 are rally cams for FRP or 1.7

I think PUMBP285 is the one for a road upgrade, 300 version is too high revs oriented.
