This is my Puma, got it today. It needs some work done, so, here i'll just limit myself to post pictures of it.
I've already painted the wheel nuts cover and fitted them, tomorrow a new batch of pictures will come ^^

So far what I did since I got it in August:
- wheel alignment
- change of trans rubber cups at the wheels (don't know the correct name in English)
- hand knit fake leader on the steering sides
- painted the alloy wheels caps, lol
- was missing the hazards button, so fitted it.
- New air polen box, mine was broken
- New heater fan, mine was damaged
- Rebuilt the windows buttons surround, because was... broken.

To do:
- need thermostat
- Already have new coolant header to install after I flush the system
- HCV not working (neither new or old, this is what i'll ask help for)
- Need rear brakes, the rear cylinder in one of the wheels doesn't seem good and the parking brake is not working efficiently, there's a more than 60% difference

Today replaced the heater control panel, solving my cabin constant heating issues />

Yep. And the newest of all have the graphics for 6 selections. I didn«t connected the lighter. More useful for me to have it in the tray, since can hide and charge my 4G internet router xDDD
Funny enough, both of these panels were made here in Portugal... From the old one, I just took a bulb, because the replacement panel had a burned out bulb. So, replaced bulbs.

Time to replace the rear clusters. Mines didn't had the clear lenses around, so I bought two units to replace.
Yet, that number 10 wrench will forever live in my memory... RIP, forever lost in the depts. of that abyss in the rear panels... I can't find it. at least managed to secure all the nuts.
I had a slightly darker foil in one of them, looked good but had many imperfections. so I removed it. Stock looks good, too.









Since I got it fixed:
-> missing red hazard button
-> rear lights
-> reverse switch
-> alignment and tranny c cups
-> HCV
-> heater CP
-> always on door light
-> hand knit steering wheel leather cover. (may replace with a all around one)
-> window switches surround
-> heater motor
-> polen filter airbox
-> unpainted alloy wheels center caps

currently my time has been spared between my Fiesta MK6 (had to replace leads, coil and battery died a week after) as spending time with my Orion. rebuilt the distributor, new dizzy cap, new rotor. (which sat differently, so had to plug the leads differently in the cap)

but now, time for the Bullet.
Thinking about blue lightning on switches and clock. my clock needs to be replaced because the LCD is missing a trace, so when it displays 17:00 I read as 11:00
clocks are easy, simple to fit. and we can even mod for those with temperature. while I ordered one from a friend, I went to take out my dash to put blue leds in it. Well... Someone before me fiddled with it and it is missing a complete bulb holder. only have one.
Also, a new column stalk is on the way. Mine broke. Mostly because of my hazards. it wouldn't stop them, always working. so I was forced to remove the stalk from the car and now have it standing still until a replacement arrives.

Yet, while I'll be some days without being able to ride the car legally (without the stalk for lights and so on) I always have literature to make me happy

Great work there. The VCT badges only were on early ones weren't they? Some nice shots of the car in the mountains. Keep up the good work.

I've got 2 jewel green cars, a P reg registered in July 97 with 80K miles on the clock which is not on the road and needs a bit of work, and a R reg registered in December 97 with just 50K on the clock and is in use by me. Neither car has the VCT badge and they are both original cars that have not been messed about with. I didn't really like Jewel green and you cant obviously be choosy about colour when your after early 1997 registered cars but I have to admit to coming round to liking the shade.

Here's P just collected and paying a short visit to my house before going off to storage until I find time and space to get it MOT worthy and fit a new clutch and sort the power steering pipes.



And this is R just loaded up for a long trip home from Manchester last month. Now in use but has the carpets ripped out to sort a big water leak into the cabin.

Jewel green was no longer a UK colour option in 1999. I like the P reg one something nice about very early cars. The only thing to check is if the brake master cylinder was changed on the P reg one as likely to have been a VIN included in the recall. Also check the front trye wear, the very early ones there was a batch or so with miss aligned subframes from Colgne.

I didn't liked the green but the price this was, the engine and... now I do like it.
mine was registered in October 98. but the build date was from January 1998 as I saw on ford etis.
slowly is getting into shape.
this year i'll check the rear brakes and... saving money for that darned clutch

The stalk sent by a friend was fitted. And he was nice enough to send me a couple of warning bulbs for the dash.
Pity he didn't had the top ones, so I still am limited to one bulb lighting my dash at night.



Green Bullet is back on the road.
I still have the LED side lights to fit, but I'm running out of time to go to work, so... I'll do it some other day

While I'm waiting for my new dash buttons and cluck in blue, already did a mini-mod.



Heater panel in blue. T5 flat head leds. I had to do the inversion of the little legs because in the original position (same as standart bulbs) it wouldn't lit up.



Now, a question... What kind of bulb the speedometer uses?
Still a T5, or is another? Because the lamp housing (i haven't removed it, only peeked up) seems way bigger than those on warning lights and heater panel.

Why I say "was"?
Because when I turn the demister or the rear fog light, the warning lamp is too bight. Way too bright and I get blinded.
So, I reverted everything to green except the clock, because This clock is easily readable at night.



I'll use the blue heater panel leds on my scooter, instead xD

I've been spending time with my Gilera scooter, the little one stopped working, so I ordered a bunch of needed parts for the economic summer 2 wheeled ride.
No matter to say, the scoot is now running and today I did some small TLC on my Bullet.
