Hi folks,
Just had a set of FRP wheels fitted to the car, it looks real nice!
Anywho, to the point. Since fitting them I've noticed that under mid to heavy braking I get a judder/wobble/bounce from the front of the car. What do you reckon it could be? It's fine under light braking and really heavy braking, and under all normal driving it's fine, no issues at all.
My first worry is one of the wheels is slightly buckled but I thought I'd feel this at all times? Not had a chance to change wheels around or anyhthing as I've been working away but I did get my girlfriend to drive the car past me and I couldn't spot any sign of buckled wheels.
I'm very confused
Thanks in advance
Greg.

jack it up & check they're true, have they been balanced? If you've got a suspect rim on the front, stick it on the back.

Cheers, will give that a bash when I get home. They've been balanced, they're fresh from a refurb and got new tyres on too. Find it really odd that it only happens when braking with mid-high pressure on the brakes.

Same problem here. Did you find a solution, was it caused by bad rims?

I had a similar problem that turn out to be dodgy tire or it could be a driveshaft ?
There are only two sports racing and bull fighting, the rest are just games

@peme, have you also fitted FRP wheels?
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
