Ive looked at the Yokohama parada which is a great looking tyre & i know a few of you are running these. What sort of mileage do these last for? and are they ok to use in icey conditions? (quote "PARADA Spec-2 tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice."). Ive also found a review sudgesting that they become noisy after 12,000 miles??
The other option i looked at is for avon tyres. Ive had these before but i doubt they will be as good as the yokohama's.
Anyone recommend either of these or something different?

great grip and handling... way more comfortable ride than the P7000's too.... and a bit of rim protection...

Oh and they're only £60 each on mytyres which helps! #260 already had a pair on the back and I needed new fronts to replace what was on there. Another pair of the champiro's seemed to make sense as I was covering about 15k a year at the time, but now it's only a toy I can't say I regret choosing them.

Nice tyres but a bit expensive for a student! lol. Im tempted to go for the yokohama's but the only thing that putting me off is this review..... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...l=Parada+Spec-2 that says that they become noisy after 5-6k miles......anyone on here experienced this?

regarding the not to be used in icy conditions, I don't think any car works in the ice really, unless it is a proper snow tyre...

I'm on Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's (albeit 15" 195/50/15 size) - £36 each!!
£120 for 4 tyres at Costco including fitting and balancing.
I'm sure that 17" tyres for the FRP would be similarly priced (about 30% more expensive).
Find out if you have a Costco near you & reap the savings!!!

Superb in the dry, and 'entertaining' in the wet
however they do not come in FRP size
