For sale I have my 1998 1.7 Puma lux. It has done 97k has tax till the end of july, mot'd till march 2009.
It has:
-K&N air filter
-Racing Puma inlet (unumbered)
-Racing Puma cams
-Pumaspeed port and polished head
-Milteck 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, sports cat, cat back
-ST150 Front brake set up (see bad points)
-Weitec half coilovers. (Rear ones only have three height adjustments)
-17" wolfrace street octane's with toyo's (front's are close to needing replacing though)
-Rear polybushes
-Denso iridium spark plugs
-Red Alcantara gear and hand brake sleeves
-Evo spoiler (small crack due to vandals)
-Mudflaps
-New drivers side engine mount.

Bad points first:
-It is currently not running as it needs valves in the head replacing, no known damage to the pistons though, no noises when turning it over by hand either.
-Needs a drivers side CV boot
-Has ST150 front brakes, the driver side caliper will need replacing when the discs and pads are changed as the bleed nipple as broken it has no problems holding brake fluid as my friend managed to bleed the brakes up (took 3 hours though) and had been fine since.
-Drivers side window doesn't work. It may just be an electrical problem, never had it looked at though.
-Faint crack in passenger side rear light.

History of the car.
In August 2007 the previous head had spat a spark plug out this was due to one of the plugs being overtightened and taking the thread with it. So my friend bought me a replacement head as an early birthday present, then it was sent of to pumaspeed to be port and polished and also had a new set of exhaust valves. The I purchased a racing puma inlet (unumbered) from ebay. When I went to collect the head, I also purchased a set of new racing puma cams, fitting kit for the frp inlet manifold + gasket, some denso iridium plugs, and a cambelt kit.
Finally got the car back on the road by February 08 and for the first month the engine never went above 3k in order to run the cams in. It then had an oil and filter change to ensure there was no particles going about the engine from where the cam was run in.
In march it had an Mot, and had two advisories:
-Rear flexi hoses - these have now been replaced
-Driver side CV joint rubber worn.

I'm open to offers, or may p/x for a small engined car i.e saxo/106 etc. Any questions please ask.

PM'd

Not wanting to break just yet as it would be easier for me to sell the car whole. I'm wanting £1500 for the car (paid alot more than that on racing puma parts alone just before christmas so it is a bit of a bargain) I'd make a lot more than that if it was to be broken for parts.
If there is no interest then I shall start to sell off parts, so if people are interested in parts please pm me.

Think Im going to end up having to sell this for parts.

Please pm me if there is anything your after and if there's no interest by the end of the week i'll start stripping it. From anything such as roofling and carpets to the loom. Collection preffered but can sort something out if needing delivery.

Does seem crazy. If I had the money I would buy it to strip... surely the inlet manifold, cams, coilovers and exhaust are worth over that.

Exactly i've had interest in just a few bits that add up to more than its going for there. Really don't want to strip it as it means trying to get parts sent when i have no transport to a post office. Been offered a fiesta with a 1.7 puma lump in p/x but I have my heart set on a 106 gti as my friend has one who takes me to work, nothing goes wrong, bits are cheap and a standard one would give me a run for my money,

Pm'd back lol

Right it looks like I shall be breaking the car. There is a lot of interest in the cams/inlet so I need to check my pm's for who had first dibs etc.
I'll be posting another thread tonight with prices.
