I wouldn't bother with a Helix paddle clutch unless your engine produces significantly more torque than the std engine.
The helix organic clutch is more than good enough and is less harsh than a paddle.

"new lights all round" are you referring to bulbs or are you changing the entire light unit??

strange i always thought the frp's front and rear are equally wide... seems that the front is wider??

get a helix if you like driving your frp hard ,

not the 4 paddle one but just the normal helix listed on the Pumabuild site.

ive had mine for 2 years now and its brilliant, seem to get a better and stronger gear change/acceleration at higher revs and you know that it can withstand a bit of a beating too.

agreed about the release bearing though i had mine changed after a month as the helix one rattles too much.

enjoy the frp thats a great list to do.

you sorted where you might get a new steering wheel from?? as ford dont stock them anymore,

i got mine refurbed and now another few people have too which is about £120.

but the material is about £70 a meter to buy.

i guess the clutch thingy would depend if you are always going for track days and races. I think the FRP or std puma clutch is good enough for normal carriage way (joining on to it especially)

just wondering what do you meant by "new lights all round" are you changing the entire light module?? or just the bulbs??

Welcome to FRP ownership thats some list. Why are you replacing all the lights? the rears on ebay will cost about £40 a side and the fronts a lot more from Ford the front outer pod shell is about £85 a side. If your lights are tarnished / stone chipped I'd recommend Plastex on them first before changing. As Al says the steering wheel can be refurbished but you will need the Alcantara to get it done.

the standard clutch is as you say good enough,

but you wouldnt know how strong a different clutch can make the car feel unless you have tried both, and i would never change back now to standard.

also Pumabuild have fitted the helix clutch to over 75 frp's so there has to be something right about it wink.gif

ask colin about his clutch experiences wink.gif

The cam belt needs a special tool to do it.
A std Puma tool is no good. sad.gif

My Clutch let go the other day for the first time, Being a bit silly with a RX8 Mazda.

I'm going to let Pumabuild do it when I take it in for a full service in February.
Hopefully it will last till then.

What are your brakes like? The prices will make your eyes water ohmy.gif
