Get yourself a quidco account...then change your energy supplier through it....1) you will get between 50 and 100 pound cashback (depending on. Supplier) and 2) you will get a better rate as well by shopping round

Now, that £6 don't seem so bad now does it? wink.gif

Ok...never mind,was just a. Thought.

We change our supplier once a year at least and in doing so net a good £100 plus in cashback each time. There's never 'that' much Difference price wise between the suppliers anyway, so even if you change to a supplier that's 15 more expensive a year, the £100 cashback more than makes up for it...if you really wanted to you could change supplier 3 times in 1 year and. bag £300 cashback

youd be paying less on quarterly bills than you do now. Plus you can set up direct debit monthly payments.

key meters are a serious rip off!!

How much you paying a week in gas and electric???

maybe not a serious rip off, but the most expensive customers for energy suppliers to administer, so isn;t is right they pay the highest rate?

You would expect the administration charges to be covered within the "daily charge".

It IS excessively overcharged on key meters.

When i moved in my house i was paying on average £20 a week electric on key meter.

I swapped to a normal meter and my average MONTHLY bill is £24 for electric.

Zara is getting ripped off and if landlord allows it im sure shed save money on a normal meter.

totally agree Warren - some student housing I know of generates energy bills so high you'd have to have every electrical and gas appliance on full time to justify them
