Has anyone had any work carried out by Pumaspeed? I like the sound of a company devoted just to the puma and the website looks good. I made an e-mail enquiry about lowering my 1.7 and uprating my shocks - they replied saying i only need their lowering springs and can leave the shocks alone unless I want to shake the teeth out of my head!

Now I know these guys are experts and know a lot more than me (a novice at the modding game), but I've read elsewhere on the board that you really need to uprate your shock absorbers if lowering your car.

Any comments? (bit confused)

Hi There...

I will be one of many who will say that Tonys work is 1st Class. He's polite and knowledgable in this area and you know you are in safe hands.

There has been times when his work has been called into question < if my memory serves me right > but the majority of the time its untouchable and there isnt any room for complaints. But then we arent all perfect are we???

You have a problem with something he will do his damdest to get it sorted for you and if you have any queries regarding his workmanship just take a look at what he has done for other members.

I have had a spoiler fitted by him... And have been happy with the work smile.gif

Jill aka Jillypuma has had 2 pumas built from him and one is an auto.

Keith Lines has had a puma built from him.

Matt has had a FRP built by him.

Matt Field has had work done by him .

The list is endless ...

P.S- Apologies if i have the wrong facts here in this email.

Unless your shocks are BRAND NEW I wouldn't persoanlly recommend just springs but it all depends on how you will drive. Remember the std. shocks were never designed with lowered springs in mind.

Pottering about should be OK. Driving enthusiastically wears the std. shocks very quickly and the car will be bouncing dangerously all over the road.

That's my experiences with lowering springs only (Pi made).
You pay for what you get.

ps: don't be fooled by recently installed springs, they will feel A LOT more forgiving than when they are bedded in (takes a month or so).
