Can anyone help on this matter, Passenger winds down ok but when you try to close the window, the mechinisum sounds like it jumps out of gear the glass stay put, but the motor only continues to the top... wind the motor back down it ties to lock back in but again leave the glass where its stopped

I assume that one of the links will suggest taking the door card off and watching as the window goes up and down?
That may illuminate the problem, but drivers windows are notoriously rubbish. Have you tried wd40ing round the frame?
