I was out for a Christmas/end of uni term (---) up last night with a load of mates and after we'd been in a club for a few hours I slid off in search of the toilets. On my way there, some random guy shouted something at me and I turned round and said "what?", at which point he landed a punch straight across my face. Fairly pissed and confused, all I said was "well alright then" and walked off...

I didn't want to ruin my night by getting into a fight, but I can't believe I just said "well alright then" after some guy had punched me in the face!

Take it from me, you came out of it better than he did, even if it is you sporting a nice shade of purple.

Twice unlucky! Typical isn't it.

As has been said, much better just walking away. Though I know thats hard when someones just hit you for no reason!.

Think of it this way - someone else probably would have ended up tw@tting him, and getting in the sh1t for it too! Good man for walking away.

lucky escape even if seems odd now, best thing that was to walk on
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

If it were me id have totally ignored him and walked off - But turning round and saying "WHAT??" you probably antagonised him further - Hope ya jaw gets better soon anyway.

The way i see it is...if you engage with idiots then be prepared for a ruck..otherwise just remove yourself from the situation as quickly as you can - that theory has served me well as ive never been in a fight in 34 years of living!!

Pain in the 4rse though when you cant go out for an enjoyable evening with ya mates without some idiot spoiling your evening.

I normally wouldn't turn round but thought it might have been someone I knew, and it was just kind of a natural reaction. Wasn't exactly a dodgy club either!

Couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper bag. Thats a lie actually I'm not that bad, not a boxer though. Southpaw came around as I'm left handed and I kinda picked it up a few years ago using it on forums etc and its just stuck smile.gif

one of my pupils (aged 18) got in a fight last week defending some girls - he has a cut face but the gratitude shown by the girls far outweighs any cuts

they both got chucked out of the venue they were in but he was let straightback in because the bouncers has seen the other bloke groping the girls

Too many lunatics around carrying knives etc these days. I always walk and have never had a fight
in my 46 yrs apart from the school playground.
Thing is, if someone did push me over the edge, I may cause them real damage and get charged as
a result. Best walk away and live another day.
