The Frp Is Soooooooo Slow

You may have noticed the sunshine?

Time to wheel the bike out of the shed, retax it and get out on the road.

So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday the 23 mile commute through the lanes of E Anglia became a total joy.

Today I have a client meeting so I need the car. The comparison is horrid! None of that 'flinging yourself at the horizon' acceleration, no ability to ride down the outside of the queue at Lakenheath base, no chance to nip past the agricultural contractor convoy doing 10 mph and completely blocking the road for about eight or nine miles. mad.gif

Still. I might change my mind once it starts to drizzle again - or the temperature drops. smile.gif

Same here.
Poomas are fun, but not as much fun as a bike.
So come on, what bikes have lot got?
I've currently got a '99 GSXR600, which funnily enough is up for sale here:
http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=85433

I'm buying myself a GSXR750 shortly, and then am treating myself to some quality 'me' time and heading off to Europe on it for a few weeks.

Is it in Blue/White?
They go faster you know? The colour scheme alone is worth an extra 50bhp.

Rob that is the only thing you keep clean wink.gif but the Puma keeps you warm and dry wink.gif but may be lacking in that 'fuzzy' feeling but can be thrilling too in the right places ja_cool.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Bikes aren't always that fast. I overtook two today on the A53 wink.gif One was very fast in the straights but slowed down a lot for the corners. It took a while but i got past him eventually... biggrin.gif

My mate had just got an R6. It's supposed to be restricted to 33bhp, but it's not. It looks rather dangerous. blink.gif Nice bike, though.

Just like that, but yellow.
He only passed his test on Thursday, and bikes are supposed to be restricted to 33bhp for two years after you pass your test. To be fair, I'd de-restrict it too, but it's mighty fast for someone that's never really ridden a bike before. blink.gif

Don't worry too much about it.

He'll either learn or die. There are no half measures with a big bike. It's all very Darwinian.

Sounds like a back protector to me - it's there to provide some impact protection to the spine, not to keep it straight.
However, you'd normally wear one under your leathers or fitted into your jacket otherwise it would get probably ripped off in a crash. Could be a Motocross style armoured undershirt - i've got a dead funky Knox one, though it looks more like a ninja costume than a star-wars stormtrooper.
