Hi Everyone,

I have had my Puma approx 6 months (99 - T) now and love it... but I think its time to change the brakes! They have always sounded a little ropey but recently they have started to sound like they are on their way out.

I have seen some front discs/pads pretty cheap, these are motorcraft ones are these fine for the job?

Secondly how easy are these to replace, I have never done this before but I am ok with most things so im sure it will be fine... wink.gif I do remember seeing a guide on here before someone had kindly written but I have searched and cannot locate it?

I am a little concerned about the whole brake-fluid thing cos on my last car I was going to attempt a caliper replacement but didnt want to mess about with draining/replacing the fluid - will this be necessary?

Also are the read pads easy to do as well?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Cheers

Dan

Easy peasy fella!

Just make sure you have a decent jack & axle stands on a flat level surface, some decent tools and away you go!

I have serviced and changed parts on all my cars to date. Its alot cheaper than getting a grage to do it if its simple so saves money and also gets you to know your car a bit more too ;)
