Just a quick email to inform those looking at renewing their insurance.
Remember:
* ensure your details (occupation, car value etc) are up-to-date
* call around for an alternative like for like quote and get reference numbers
* call your current insurance company to see if they can match/better your best like for like quotation.
I did this today and my current insurer improved their renewall rate and saved me £30 on the lowest like-for-like quotation! Just goes to show shopping around can save you some money and often you current insurer will improve their renewall price.
FYI - I am insured with www.elephant.co.uk

elephant are by far the cheapest (annual paymeny only, so I guess that's a factor)... I saved over £330 by using them instead of any other company!

They turned out to be way ahead of the rest for me too... all round so far, even got my certificate and everything through the next morning after buying the policy at around 3-4pm the afternoon before!
Definitely helps if you are fairly young (I have to say this now that I'm a 25-year-old-fart) and put your parent(s) as named drivers...bound to come in useful, even though I'm hanging onto my 106 diesel (the "Warpig") as well as main runabout...hence my sig. 8)

As far as I can see though they do not offer any kind of roadside - which is included or at least an option with most others - and peace of mind.
Though if the price is low enough would admittedly be easy enough to take out roadside seperately and still make a saving.

Direct Line gave me the best deal surprisingly, they guy at Tesco gave me abuse when I told him DL were £70 cheaper! And I wasn't quoted happy either!
