Hi
It is hard and not for the none mechanically minded.
There is a outline article in the Wiki.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

in summary you need to..

remove the lower aux belt splash guard
remove aux belt
undo the nuts securing the power steering pump..move it back so you can access all the timing guard cover bolts
remove timing cover
remove rocker cover
ideally remove gearbox too so you can lock the crank off at the flywheel at TDC
rotate crank until rest at the TDC pin
remove bottom pulley (ideally with spx tool)
remove cam tensioner and belt
undo vct cap and internal vct pulley bolt and exhaust pulley
install new belt and tensioner (ideally water pump too) keep the smaller bolt on the tensioner finger tight until AFTER pin has been released
with the belt properly tensioned all the way round the system, THEN make sure the cam locking bar is surely in place and tighten up both pulleys to the correct torque (be careful not too damage the ends of the cams)

rotate crank round until cam alignment bar can be re-inserted again...rotate and fit again just to be sure.... bottom pulley bolt is 40nm +90Deg...

that's not all particually detailed or in the right order but it gives you the gist of what goes on...

personally, I think you can make a must tidier job of it with the engine remove from the car :beer:/>

Regards

Chris

Going on views here the sensible would be to put it in the garage for them to do it.
Thanks for your help everyone.
