Ford Puma 1.7, 2000 / X Reg / Silver
Lux Pack: Air Con, Electric Mirrors, Heated Front Screen, Ford Mats

I am offering my Puma for sale, reluctantly as I will be sad to part with the car but already have a second car (Focus ST170) and now just about to get a new car for work, so I can't keep three cars! I unfortunately don't have the space to keep it, nor the time to maintain it now, so it's time to let someone else enjoy it!
I have had the Puma since March 2010 and have really looked after it. It was my main car for several years, then became my second car so wasn't used so much but still looked after and regularly run.

The car is now at 109k miles. It had new cam belt/water pump fitted by Pumabuild at around 85k
shortly after I got the car, it also had the rear arch metal cut out and replaced by a local body shop which is holding up well. The car is very tidy for its age, and the engine runs really well and starts very easily. Alloys are pretty good, I think only one has a slight mark on it.

I have just fitted two new rear tyres (Toyo T1R) which match the fronts which have lots of tread left too. I have also recently fitted a new fuel pump and fuel filter, a new alternator, and replaced the auxiliary belt. I also replaced the spark plugs and HT leads fairly recently too. The air con was working when I ran the car on the way to MOT. All the other usual bits such as TPS sensor, manifold lambda sensor, MAF, and HCV have been changed over time, and I have a very big pile of receipts for parts. The car has a fairly new genuine Ford exhaust back box fitted. It also has a newish Bosch battery and the car is now connected to a battery maintainer as it is currently parked up until sold. The car has had oil/filter changes every 6-12months and generally been looked after. I probably also have a few spare bits that can go with the car.

I have over time done a few other mods to the car using genuine ford parts, mostly I believe from Fiesta Ghia model.
2nd boot light
Glove box light
Glove box air con mod (cooled glove box)
Outside temperature sensor clock upgrade.

I also replaced the stereo with a Parrot Asteroid head unit which has USB / SD card and Bluetooth as well as 3G (you would need a sim card for this). The car also has upgraded speakers, I think these were Infinity speakers which were quite expensive when I fitted them, as well as JBL subs mounted in the rear quarter pods on both sides, all run by 3 Alpine V-Power amps mounted in the boot. The speakers look factory fit, so cannot tell they have been changed, but they sound really good. I do have the original ford CD stereo if required. The car also has upgraded Xeon/HID projector headlights which are much better than the normal halogen lamps, these have always passed fine during MOT and are much brighter and look really good. The actual entire headlight units were replaced with brand new original ford/Bosch units at the time.

I took the car for an MOT at MOTest prior to sale, unfortunately it failed on the two following points so will need some welding to repair, so should be taken in to consideration as this is not something that I have the skill or experience to repair, so I am offering for sale as is.
1. Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is corroded offside front (seat mounting floor pan)
2. Suspension component mounting prescribed area corroded nearside rear (inner wheel arch and inner sill area)

I would really like for the car to get back on the road but don't have the time to do this nor the space to keep the car now, so would like to offer the car up for sale to someone who may be interested in doing so and hoping someone in the club may take up the car to keep it in good order and enjoy it, so hopefully it can remain on the road as a future classic!

I am open to any sensible and reasonable offer for the car. The car is located in north Reading. If you have any questions please do email me or send me a PM. james.pratt100@ntlworld.com

At the moment the car isn't insured for day to day use, but I have recently used DayInsure.com to get a day's insurance as needed, at £26.50 a day which might be useful for collection of the car.
