Hey all....

Some of you may or may not have seen me around here lately as i've been looking for a puma as my first real car (only 17 - been driving the family jeep) and have been searching non-stop for the best deal and have been asking all you guys here at PP to help me which has given me so much knowledge!

Using this knowledge i went out today and bought a beautiful 1.6 Pacific Green Y reg Puma.... Got a real bargain on it as it has only had one owner but has sort of high milage with a full Ford service history. Cambelt has been done smile.gif always a bonus.... wink.gif

I go and pick it up on saturday once i've sorted tax and insurance out... but you can see it in my avatar... it is in mint condition in and out without a scratch and has loads of optional extras including both heated screens, air con and parking sensors so im absolutley over the moon! I'll post some pics in the gallery when i actually get my hands on it!

Thank you very much to all of those who have helped me... it stopped me from buying a shabby rusting '99 Black 1.4 to this absolutley stunning piece of machinery!!! I couldn't have done it without you guys!!!

well it was £3100 with 6 months tax and 12month MOT... Last service was in November and that was when the cambelt was done.... has 90k on at the moment and as long as it sees me through university i have no problem with it being a high flier smile.gif took a mechanic (family) with me just to be sure and everything was in order and no problems found so im really chuffed... especially with all it has to offer

Also came with a warranty... just remembered!

Btw i've noticed it STILL hasn't uploaded my avatar.... but i have changed it if anyone is wondering wink.gif

bonus, the cam belt wasn't due to be changed. (soon though depending on your mileage)

come up and see me...make me smile

Hey BOK!

Was just reading your post about your new milly.... Congratulations!! And enjoy wink.gif

It is indeed a lovely dressed up jimny... which most of my friends have dubbed 'jimmi' though i certainly have no idea why.... but its been my baby since july when i passed my test... absolutley stunning to look at!! gets all the heads turning... just hope the puma does as well... though i know it won't be as many wink.gif

Heres some pics of it:

Tx smile.gif

The Puma will be a whole new world...you'll experience things like cornering, acceleration and the potential to go over 80mph tongue.gif
Only joking (!)...trust me you'll not want to go back to the Suzuki after the Puma unless you need to tackle rutted fields!

As for turning heads...keep it clean, don't try to hard and you'll be OK. You'll probably find heads turning but it'll be a different kind of person looking wink.gif

Yay! Will bear that in mind... Wanted a puma since i first saw them at the NEC in 96/97 when i was about 8 happy.gif so it's great to have a dream become a reality...

As for the speed of the jeep.... i only ever had it at about 78 at the highest.... and it scared me to death! Not nice at all... and lately as soon as you exceed 60mph the revs start to dip and it has to be pulled onto the ahrd shoulder for 5minutes are so but as yet nobody has found the problem... contemplating actually going to Suzuki to find out! But i certainly don't intend to be going back in it once the Puma arrives tongue.gif so uncomfy in comparison.... even to the corsa that i learnt in!

Congratulations on the car mate, you have been around here for a little while now iirc. Yeah having the cam changed on the 1.6 is a bonus as its every 10 years or 100K tongue.gif sweet.

I'm sure you will have loads of fun smile.gif
