Oil Leaking Oil leak

Got quite a heavy oil leak which is burning on the manifold garage have told me its the head gasket and vct solenoid. Where is the solenoid? Would oil leak badly out of the head? Most of the oil looks like its coming from the timing end I think the garage just didnt want to get thier hands dirty

There are seals on the ends of the cams and one between the solenoid and head. Its doing well to reach the manifold from there though.

No reason why you can't inspect yourself, buy something to clean it off completely and run again to see if you can see any better.

Also check which levels are moving, could also be power steering fluid in that vicinity.

What is the solenoid tho and where is it? Cam seals were changed last year and its deffo not power steering fluid. I cant drive it atm because the fumes are immense

Left end of the front cam so in that area. Solenoid also feeds oil outwards to the pulley.
