just thought I would post a few pictures of me and my new friend (along with some other snaps) taken at the butterfly farm at stratford upon avon. For some reason this little guy (or girl) took a fancy to me smile.gif The pics with me in were taken by a friend of mine. he came and landed on me three times in about 10 minutes. funnily it didn't land on anyone elses shoulder for the rest of the time we could see it laugh.gif

getting used to the controls of my Sony SLR smile.gif

just hanging around

a few more pictures of some of the other creatures there smile.gif

after seeing the sign saying 'please don't fee the iguanas' it took us a while to find them hiding up high smile.gif

laugh.gif thanks Jessie smile.gif it was only a matter of time before it was said really smile.gif

Zara, there was a more orangey coloured iguana there too. It looked like there were 3 or 4 in total. Here's the orangey one chilling out on the hot air duct smile.gif

Thanks Pete and Ben and SK smile.gif

Bem, it makes a change to the too many weekends I spent last year just lazing around the house doing sod all lol. It's quite an interesting place for anyone who likes that sort of thing. They have a few different insects and arachnids too, including some black widows which were behind two different layers of glass smile.gif It's not too pricey (about £5 each) and stratford is a lovely town too smile.gif

thanks Kate. I'm afraid I'm one of the ones who deviated from the more common Canon or Nikon and went for the Sony instead smile.gif

haha it was very interested in me for sure, I think it was more of a lick that a kiss though (not sure whether that is better or not laugh.gif). without wanting to sound too grim I think it was because it was very hot and humid in there and I was a bit sweaty at the time trying to acclimatise to the conditions. perhaps it liked my salty face laugh.gif

My wallet was safely in my trouser pocket but I did check to make sure it hadn't crapped down my back laugh.gif

lol, sadly it took quite a while really, especially as it had been sat in the cold boot of the puma for a couple of hours and then just in the camera bag for a while outside too. I think it was around 10-15 minutes at least.

You were lucky then. Last time I went I got condensation inside my short lens and rendered it useless for the rest of the day.
