just a thought, but I'm on a hose pipe ban and have been since August last year... right through winter... how come you can use this much water? You must be up north wink.gif anyway that's my excuse why I am only washing mine once every three months sad.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

I haven't even got an outside tap at my house sad.gif

When I do it myself, I just use 2 buckets and have to keep refilling them. That's too much like hard work though, so most of the time I go round the corner from where I live and pay the local handwash guys a fiver to do it. Then I drive home and polish biggrin.gif

Fantastic!!

As a none-detailer myself, I always find it daunting how many products and time is needed for a top notch job.

Do you need to lose the old wax before you polish? thats the bit I don't undestand. I was always told to use fairy liquid or some other mild detergant if I wanted to get rid of the wax. Usually I just use one of those wash and wax additives, then finish it with Autoglym showshine, tyre trim and bumper trim if I am trying to flog it!

It must really pee you off the state of the roads right now! it'll be nearly as filthy as mine come 10am on Monday..
