Hi new to the site and looking at a Racing Puma in Wales tomorrow. It's no:212 and has 18,300 miles on it and is up
for 9 grand.

She had a Pumabuild service at 17,900 miles in early 2006 inc. cambelt plus Brembo front brake conversion which cost
circa £700. It looks like a great car and compared to a dealer car on ebay comparatively good value.

Is this on the money for what appears to be a pretty mint low miler? Anyones thoughts greatly appreciated. Ta

That dealer car in St Ives has been advertised for well over a year.

212 has only been online a very short amount of time.

I guess it's worth what someone's willing to pay and accept.

It does look like a good car from the advert but then a viewing is essential to make any kind of informed decision as we all know how well cars can clean up and look shiny in pictures.

If you do go and see it, let us know how you get on.

You may end up buying what appears to be an excellent car. Don't forget to try and haggle on the price though!

remember - all cars need maintenance - it's not just the initial layout

currently for 9k+ there is lots of choice eg nissan 350z
RPJ DAMPENERS - POWERFLEX ALLROUND - JANSPEED SS SYSTEM - SOLD - probably in bits now...

The Wiki has some articles that you may find useful to read :)
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Thanks guys! Saw 212 today and i can report the condition of the car is outstanding.

I'm no expert on the value of these cars but i run a mint 95 Lotus M100 Elan S2 which
is a comparable car in lots of ways and whose values have followed a similar pattern
to those of the Puma i.e. held its value fantastically well in the first few years but
have now plummeted to an all time low.

I reckon unabused and un-modded genuine low mile examples of both are becoming
extremely hard to come by and predict excellent examples of both cars will be highly
prized in the future as surprisingly reliable, very useable junior exotics that don't
break the bank to run unlike an Esprit or mid-engined Clio.

Followed the Wiki troubleshooting guide but honestly couldn't fault car. Bought it
on the spot. Seller was extremely sincere and only giving up car to make room
for a new Focus RS. Went away grinning from ear to ear!

Excellent! :D

I'm glad to hear it's as good as the advert!

Are you planning to take her to shows / daily use / store?

Plan to run her regularly but won't be a daily driver as i want to preserve the car in
the condition she's in.

Planning to get tickets for the 10th anniversary gig on August 22nd at Duxford airfield
if there are still some left.
