I am getting fed up with waving to other Puma owners and getting blanked, so if you see a Red Puma around Salisbury and I don't wave to you, I apologise in advance.

Plenty of Pumas around here. I usually wave but get blanked in reply !

Mind you, I sometimes forget which car I am driving so Puma drivers may be puzzled by a wave from an MX5 or ZS !

I wave / flash FRP's and Millys etc not so much normal Puma's.
But if anyone waves at me, I will wave back :)

I do take the FRP to Salisbury occasionally so if you see one with a BIG motorsport spoiler on , give me a wave.
Or if you venture in a Melksham direction there are three FRP's around here and we will all wave ;)

I think it comes down to how unusual a car is TBH, and how often you're going to see another owner / driver.

FRP: yes.
Standard Puma: no

I'd imagine that most FRP owners have one very much as a considered choice to a point; whereas, not so much for the standard car. Perhaps very often more of a choice between many other 'maybes' when it was purchased, or even just a car which came up for sale and looked nice at the time.

For the same reasons I wouldn't wave if I were driving another more popular car model either.

I drive through Salisbury a lot as I'm in Wilton 3/4 times a year minimum organising a supercar event down there.

Until yesterday I had a 1.7 Silver Puma with black side decals (hard to miss), sadly that has now died but hopefully soon I will have a yellow millennium edition =) - feel free to give me a wave if you ever see me around!

Quite fancy coming along to that.
A mate offered to bring his Saleen Mustang along a couple of years ago.
But evidently it wasn't "Super" enough :roflmao:/>

Another friend lives in Wilton, so I might suggest we go this year.
4th August, will have to see what else is on.
Long way to go for you, Kent to there...

I use to commute to Lincolnshire a lot so it doesn't seem that far. Plus, doing it 4 times a year minimum just becomes the norm!

You should definitely come along this year, going to be the best yet, obviously there's a lot I can't reveal yet but it's one not to be missed! Bring your FRP, I'd happily leave the show to go to the car park and have a look at that :)/>
My boyfriends the co-founder/organiser (Jay) and he decides which cars come along, so say sorry to your friend from me ;)/>

If I'm not working, I will come along. The FRP will be there as I use it daily.
Can always parade it if you like ;)

Brilliant! ^_^ Ah I wish, if only he'd let me :( We were going to (for a laugh) drive my Puma through the gates first last year as the opening to the show! But TV and press turned up so Jay wouldn't let me, I was resigned to an Aston :(

Ah fantastic! Most years before Wilton we do Gurston with the supercars! Bet it's great fun in an FRP! :good:/>

I'll be at Wilton House on the 26th for one of our breakfast lead-up meets, having a themed meet every last Sunday of the month before the show in August

The 26th is the Hill climb, so I will look out for some Supercars around Wilton.
I'm not doing Gurston in the FRP, It will be out at Combe next month for the Classic Action day.
Not sure Gurston would allow me up the hill with my Nitrous Oxide system anyway ;)

My FRP has a Ford Motorsport rear spoiler, so it quite noticeable...

My mother got a Puma new in 1997. For the first 12 months or so.. whenever she saw another Puma she would wave and they would wave back.

We even got thumbs up from kids in other cars :cool:/>

But then it seemed that everybody had one and the waving business soon wore off :lol:/>

I think maybe in 10 yeas or so when there's hardly any left people will start doing it again
