I drove to Bradford on Saturday to have a look at this Racing Puma.

Exterior
I have to say it looks fantastic! There are alot of stonechips on the front bumper which arn't really a problem but there are quite a few on the bonnet that have been touched up with a touch up pen by the previous owner. From a distance you can't notice them. (Chris has informed me that these have now been sorted with Meguires X Scratch and look alot better) Alloys were slightly kerbed but nothing major and you couldn't notice until going up close to the car. Obviously the low price reflects this if you want a stone chip free racing puma expect to pay £8.5k plus. Other than the stone chips the paint work is in very good condition for a 7 year old car. I have an 02 imperial blue Zetec S and I dont think I have ever seen it shine as much as this FRP.

Interior
Immaculate interior, very tidy, does have original mats, steering wheel has been re-trimmed in a lighter blue alcantara but didn't bother me.

Test Drive
The test drive went quite well, it didn't feel like it had 73k on the clocks at all. The accelerator and clutch were alot stiffer than my ZS's so it took a bit of getting used to but was nice to drive. No pulling to one side when driving or braking and the brakes seemed pretty good. When I put my foot down and backed off the throttle the miltek exhaust still popped and crackled like the original FRP exhaust. I only drove around 30/40mph roads so didn't really get to put my foot down but it felt solid.

Documents
All of the documents were kept in a nice folder with the original FRP brochure, alot of reciepts from Pumabuild and ford for servicing and parts. There was one receipt from Pumabuild for nearly 2k that was getting the cam belt changed and brakes serviced etc back in 2005.

All in all it seemed spot on. The car mechanically seemed sound, has had all major parts replaced and looked very smart. Put my imperial blue Zetec S to shame when I pulled up behind it, it is very clean. I am currently looking at buying it but have to sell my Zetec S first. I am also in negotiations with the "other half" as she wants to spend the money doing up the house grrr! You have to see it to appreciate it, the pictures really don't do it justice it looks immaculate.

I would consider taking a standard 1.7 puma in part exchange but need 4k minimum in cash so i am looking for one valued at around 3k maximum.
I will give this to my wife and sell hers as its looking a bit shabby now.

Its like following the stock market, the price goes down, up, but never stays the same.

I don't want to sell it too cheaply and try to advertise it at a price that would make it more attractive to potential buyers.
Due to the lack of interest I lowered the price to see if it generated any and it didn't so its back to the price i'm comfortable with.
Shouldn't really matter to anyone not interested in buying though.
