The mechanic who did my cambelt didn't do it properly and consequently the Puma needs a new engine.
I don't know whether to put a new engine in it and then sell it (I want to buy a different car anyway, or just sell it at a loss now and save the hassle.
How much is a Puma with a broken engine worth ? It's a 2000W black Puma 1.4, otherwise very sound and I have spent money doing brakes, exhaust, interior etc. It was a great car until this happened.
Thank you x

I would guess at around £500 as it stands. Do you have any comeback on the mechanic if it was down to his error?

I have a low mileage 1.4 engine for sale if youre interested, was looking to buy a Puma with a blown engine and do a swap but works for me either way.
Where are you based?
Cheers

Roadrally, PM sent, thanks.
I don't have any comeback as he did it off the books, I've tried that route already.
Can you put a 1.4 zetec from a Fiesta in? Is it exactly the same engine? I've tried to find the answer online but I can't seem to find it. This would obviously be much cheaper than sourcing a Puma zetec.

Yes, myweepuma did it, I think some ancillaries / sensors need changing, but that is it.
