Hi Everybody,

Just thought I'd better say hello! I made my first post about 5 seconds ago, & realised that I hadn't said Hi!

I've just bought a silver V-reg 1.7 Puma. It's really fun to drive!!! Previously had an M reg 1.7 diesel Cavalier, which was like driving a boat in comparison!

I also got a GSXR600, & was looking for a 'fun' car to match!

Got a couple of niggles - Just ended up paying £115 for a new key to be cut & programmed! The Rear view mirror is in a daft place (I'm 6ft, & it takes up most of the view to the left!), & the car pulls slightly to the left! (haven't even checked tyre pressures yet though!)

None of these probs have put me off! Especially having coped with my old car for so long!

So ...Hello tongue.gif

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Hello Twinpig

I'm a newbie too......better start my own newbie thread! I just bought a blue 1.7 last week. This will be my everyday commuter car as my other baby (300zx) is too thirsty to use for the commute at 17mpg on a good day!

Hmm, I'm about to be bent over by Ford for a new key too, as my car only came with one. Did the £115 include the key? Please tell me it did!

The rear view mirror is a problem for me too, but only 'cos it's almost too stiff to move. Might just have to buy a replacement from Halfords as it'll become a pain having to fiddle with it every time the wife has to adjust it when she drives the car (I'm 6ft, she's 5ft 3")

I have this problem too, but honestly you get used to it after a while, I dont think its actually a problem, just different.. My mirror became detached the other day after trying to re-position it tongue.gif but as one side was still on the window i just stuck it with super glue and it has done the job lovely!

Welcome to Puma people mate!

Hi Twinpig, I'm a fellow newbie and also a lanky giant... good.gif I hear what you're saying about the rear view mirror, I've also found that the windows seem quite short and hence my visibility at roundabouts isn't great.. unsure.gif

Hi,

I'm another newbie! I got my X-reg black Puma just yesterday, and took her out for a spin last night on my favourite roads. What a car!

I'm a bit new to all this Internet forum stuff. I don't have my own PC so have to go into the library to log on. I'm more used to car clubs meeting up and going for drives (but I'm sure you do that too!). My other car is a Hillman Imp which I finished restoring last year, and I've been in the Imp Club for getting on fifteen years now.

Anyaway, I'll log on whenever I can.

Take care,

tconway
