Ey up kids,

Well, things have changed and as of Monday I'm doing 80 miles a day as a commute, from Scarborough to York - so my plans to sort the lower arms out have been accelerated.

I have a set of Ford lower arms (that's right Ian, I *still* haven't fitted them), and I was thinking of semi-polying them - (FRP bushes rear of arm, Polys front) which is, I believe, a desirable setup for a decent mix of steering feel without too much jarring from the road.

However, I'm also a bit skint. So does anyone know the FINIS part numbers for the normal bushes, and how long I'd expect them to last? After all, I can always rebush them once I move closer to York and don't need the car to be a 100mile a day hack and can put it back to being a fast road toy.

Also need new front tyres, and my handbrake fixed so I'm hoping to get the car to my Tuna next week and get him to do all of this....

Advice appreciated!

I guess 5 years plus for bushes mine were not shot after 8 years and 50k miles
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

If you look at #4 in this link:

you'll find that "eldoodarino" has found the Finis number for the larger (rear) bush has now been changed from 1042691 to 1836215 and it's £6.01 + VAT (a lot cheaper than the FRP one).

Rick

The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.

Cheers Yog.

Don't suppose anyone knows offhand what brake shoes a Milly would need? I bang the number plate into eurocarparts and it comes up with lots of suggestions.....
