You have similar front top mounts to my race car, we use 3 x 6mm 12.8 grade bolts to hold these in place - I think 12 bolts might be a few too many, extra weight and take a long time to change setup. We can lower the car even further (when no more adjustment on damper body) by inserting thicker spacers between the inner wing and top mount.
We also have a similar "ring" below the inner wing, which gives us the following layers (top to bottom), strut top, spacer ring, inner wing, lower ring - and no welding required

my top mount are ready
it heavy solid... but safety first
M8 70er V2a =
(7,5mm x 7,5mm x3,14/) 4 = 44mm2
700N/mm2 x 44mm2 = 30800N x 12 = 369000N = 36900kg
many scrapings
the next project is the full V2A Front Lower Strut Brace

lovely looking lathe, I enjoy machinery that looks purposeful and manual as it takes craftmanship to use. Respect.

Still progressing well :-)
Did you powder coat the inlet for a reason like gain or to look personalised?

Do you have anything left to do on this project build once all these parts are fitted?
