Ford Racing Puma #148 - What can I say that hasn't already been said about these cars?
Merc CLK 320 - Good Points - Comfortable, Bad Points - Comfortable!
Subaru Impreza Turbo WRX STI Type RA - 4 doors, 5 seats, a boot and 0-60 in 4.3! It doesn't get much better!
VW Golf MK2 GTI 16v Special (celebrating the 10 millionth Golf) - my baby, shouldn't have sold her
Pug 205 GTI 1.9 - an even bigger hoot!
Pug 205 GTI 1.6 - a hoot!
VW Beetle (new one from Mexico) - really quite good
1962 Mini 800 - always breaking down

fun, totally
crazy, deffinately
post all about it here, though I have done it since and improved significantly on my time.
would I do it again, yes, would I use my FRP, probably not. I am at the stage when the next time I think I would rather be in a car I did not care about so much. The FRP is a little to expensive to repair if you meet anything hard with it. thinking more a car to be in the class down from the one I was in for my club, as up against the likes of EVO FQ 300. Where the class below was more fun with 1.6 pugs and MR2s etc.
The FRP is nice and torquey so was good to drive and the power was there

Hillclimbing doesn't have to wreck the car-it depends on how you drive!
Although not in an FRP myself, when we've been sprinting and hillclimbing there was a FRP in the upto 2 litre class...it seemed to go well, and let's face it the car is set up perfectly for what is usually pretty smooth, pretty twisty tarmac. As long as you keep the revs where they need to be I don't see why it couldn't be a very competitive car, and it would certainly look the part
Hillclimbing is very easy on the car compared to other race disciplines, and a lower powered car can beat all-comers if driven properly! Happy Kat is it your FRP I always see out on track at Silverstone for the shows? And in Performance Ford with Tiff driving at Castle Comb?

Think I'd have used about 50m of bubble wrap around the car for that course! You must have been very brave
I'll do the training course at Harewood first then maybe a few meets afterwards; I'll let you know how I get on once the weather gets better
