I was replacing a perished front brake hose when I found out that brake line behind strut was so corroded that it leaked. I had to cut and bend it with pliers to stop the leak.
So now would like to know are those brake pipes available as original Ford parts? Or should I just get my Puma towed to a garage and ask them to make new brake lines and do the installing too?
I think there are generic brake pipes with connectors available at local car parts store, but I have no idea of Puma´s (LHD) brake line lenghts. Connection is somewhere under master cylinder, and it is difficult to reach it. I guess new brake line should be pretty much correct lenght one, or it it possible to add some extra twists if it is too long..? Can those pipes be bended to correct angles without any special tools?
Perhaps someone here knows how long those pipes should be?

Ford catalogue only lists brake pipe by the metre which would also need making up - part number A80SX-2K312-AA FINIS 500739.
Lengths will depend whether you have ABS. I'm sure RHD/LHD doesn't have any affect.

Ok, thanks for the information.
It seems that this is no longer a DIY job, not for me anyway.

Not sure about a standard Puma, but the FRP brake pipes are "Sided" Left and right as I found out last week.

This guy on eBay manufactures them. Ships abroad also, but doesn't actually list Finland. Cost is £10 front pair + Postage (Norway £4.50, for example).:
Might be worth contacting him.
