Hi!
I have weird problem with my 1.7 Puma. Car accelerates better when throttle pedal isn't fully pressed, when revs are 3-4k. After 4k pedal must be fully pressed again. Car won't rev over 5k, it just start juddering. OBD scanner gives fault code P0171 - System too lean. Any ideas what I should do? Change fuel filter?
Here is data from OBD software:

I would check fault codes and see if reporting fault with oxygen senor. This would indicate Hego.
Is your fuel consumption up.
Is there a lot of mucky soot on your tail pipe.
Does the car sort of feels hesitant and then lurch forward. Kangaroo.

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Have the fuel pressure tested. Always a good idea to check / replace spark plugs at a early stage.

I have checked sparkplugs, they were ok. Fuel consumption is also good (under 7 l/100km). I think problem is MAF sensor. I cleaned MAF and car is now slightly better, it revs now over 5k and fault code disappeared. So I ordered new MAF. I will update situation after I have changed MAF.

After changing MAF and short test drive, Puma feels fine />. Need more testing to be sure.
