Replacing High Level Rear Brake Light Bulbs have gone

Anyone got any instructions on how I replace the bulb on my Puma's high level brake light (on the boot). The manual says to take it to a garage but I was hoping to do it myself and save some pennies. Or is it too difficult?
Thanks in advanced.

and scroll down to "High Mounted Central Light Unit (tailgate third light)"
I replaced my bulbs with LED's (red), to avoid having to replace the standard ones, as you need to replace the hanger "buttons" each time.
The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.

By any chance there isn't a fuse that would stop the light from working? (the other brake lights work)

More likely to be the feeble bit of loom that goes under the seal, terrible bit of design.
Ian G you were spot on. Wiring fixed, brake light now working. Cheers

I know this post is 4 years old but I'm having the same problem... bulbs replaced but the flippin thing isn't working, I've tried everything, even multiple bulbs. Which bit of feeble loom was being referred to here??

Only downside is the clips on the tailgate liner trim broke when I removed it, and the silly parcel shelf hangers. So now need to sort all of that out. Brake light works now though...
