Hey,

What do silver scuff plates look like on a blue Puma. I htink they would look OK on a Sliver Puma, but not sure on a Blue one.

I have raised this question elsewhere, but thought it might get a quicker response here.

Cheers.

I have some on my FRP, have a look at www.fordracingpuma.com in the owners cars section under #144.

I think they look alright, but then again I would!!

They are the rolled lip type, nice.

I have the straight type that they did for one of the special edditions (Puma Black??)

The ones Alan is selling is the straight type.

Do you have any problems with the doors catching the sill lip at all cos I looked at getting this type and was worried it would catch, if no then I might consider getting some sometime cos I have a scratch or two on my current sill plates and some stratches on the sills that the rolled lip type will cover.

Regards

Robert.

I haven't noticed them catching at all. I can't imagine that clearance tolerances on a Puma are that small that there isn't enough room under there.

A number of other list users have these too, so maybe they'll verify they've not had any problems. They do make a nice impact on entry!

I've got some on my 'Black' - the garage I went to last did a nice job of scratching them (amongst other things)

Is it easy to remove these things and replace them with, say ones from Alan?

Will it remove half my paint job because they were 'factory' fitted?

I suspect that they were fitted no differently to if u had done it urself. IIRC the sills come with the backing stuff on them already, u just peel off the top to expose the sticky stuff.. so can't see how they would have fitted them any differently in Germany.

Y not PM Alan and ask if they come off agan ?
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

laugh.gif Lockwood International have just reduced the price on thier sill plates for the Puma. They were £55.00 they are now just £32.50. They are solid stainless steel and have a bend on them to cover the front edge of the sill. They are etched with the Puma logo and look fantastic.

e-mail me for an image as I don't know how to post the picture on the site!
