Meet Update.

I just wanted to update everyone with the latest developments regarding next month's Ford Dealer Drive Day Event. smile.gif As posted earlier, the Focus ST and new 2006 Fiesta will be available for test drives on the day. As with last year, Insurance restrictions permit only those over 25 driving the Focus ST. However, should anyone younger have a serious interest in purchasing a ST, then special arrangments can be made in advance. wink.gif Also of course, everyone of any age will be welcome to drive as a passenger in the ST. smile.gif

In addition to these Test-Drive sessions, we already have the Automobile Association confirmed to attend with a Patrol for a presentation on their work and vehicle care, etc. smile.gif As discussed earlier, there will also be a short display regarding the latest features and technology found in the Ford vehicles. smile.gif

Those who attended last year's event will recall the visit from Sussex Police Traffic Division, and how it gave a valuble insight into their difficult role. wink.gif For January's event, I have been in contact with the District Commander of West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. He has kindly agreed to prepare a presentation on the vital work that WSFRS carrys out at the scenes of road accidents across the county, and also what you can do out on the road to help members of the Fire Service attend incidents without delay. smile.gif He will also be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the Fire and Rescue Service and the many incidents it is involved with. smile.gif As you can appriciate, WSFRS are very busy at the quietest of times. sad.gif So I am exceptionly grateful to them for their attendance, and I hope that their visit will give everyone an understanding of the often dangerous work that they do everyday in order to protect our lives and homes. smile.gif

I'm glad to see the already strong planned attendance from PP for this event. smile.gif However, I would urge as many peeps as possible to come along if they are able, as I am sure everyone will have a very enjoyable day. I've had to work hard to present a sound business case for this event at work, and it therefore needs a good turnout to make it fully viable for the budget spent. A lot of my own time (and money spent on Scalextric!! blink.gif ) is going into this event, but I'm sure that it will be proved again the 'Ulimate' Pumapeople event with your help!!! biggrin.gif

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

I've got a DVD with Tiff Needell doughnutting a transit. Pretty crazy and he had to drive in tight circles for ages to build up speed to break the traction!!!

Need to check with her ladyship re- working etc, but could be up for this too.

We need to go to Surrey at some point, and would tie in nicely wink.gif

Hopefully the bodywork will be complete on my car then so now youve got 2 fully operational legs you can take it for a spin like you said at Ford fair if you want.

You'll have to wait a bit longer till I sort out the engine though!!
