Hi folks,

Have you any idea what to do about the paint getting lots of little cracks in it? Its happenned all over the back of my boot lid. It looks like eggshell. You cant see it from a distance but up close its noticeable.

Thanks,
Lauren

Zinc yellow is solid paint so it isn't the lacquer flaking.

I'd check carefully that the tailgate hasn't been resprayed at some point, lift it and look for a taletell 'step' in the paint at the edges of the bootlid, or overspray around the window edge (the seal is quite tricky to paint around). If so it might have been a substandard job in the past which may have caused a reaction in the paint.

Might be useful to take a pic if possible...
