I really do need my garage space and FRUP has hardly seen the light of day over the last 12 months. 380 miles between MOT's does not justify taxing, insuring and servicing him. So if anyone knows anyone who wants a classic part of Ford history please let me know. A comprehensive volume of spares are also available if required. Listed on Pistonhead here http://www.pistonhea...les/3233005.htm

Wow, a bit of a bargain now Dave.
I would love it, but couldn't / wouldn't blast it around race tracks and airfields like I do #72.
Good luck with the sale ;)

Yes a real bargin Graham but no one seems to want it. At this rate I'd be better off breaking it into spare parts!!

sadly their reputation is not great, they are seen as excellent handling cars but slow compared to modern cars, parts are getting harder and harder to source with the likes of PUMAbuild and Pumaspeed charging relatively high prices, the cost of keeping one is no longer worth the investment as they are only selling for lowish prices...or to real enthusiasts...its a tough situation...one I really dont think will improve for a good while yet, if ever...

Any tips Daz as V4 even has the majority of scarce spares available too. Would you mind pm'ing me with what you got for FMC02?

I think with time you will find someone, if you want to sell fast its a drop the price job, they seem to be selling at around 3600 to 5000, not seen many people paying over 5k but they do...I wish i could buy them all i love them, but I hoon them about break them regularly and dont look after them cosmetically...

Hopefully yes I'll find someone who wants a real bit of FRP history that has been cherished over the last 6 years. That said I'll not discount the car to a rediculous figure.

I'm not sure how much Glyn paid for V5, but I know Mark who sold it to him paid just over £4k for it
He did get a bargain though and that was a couple of year or more ago.

V2 just went recently for a very healthy price.
Yours is also in well looked after condition with good interesting history.
Sorry to see you selling but it brought you fun too :)
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Thanks Kate your right V4 has brought us a great deal of fun and a lot of great friends accross the country and many fond memories. Its such a shame to me seeing him sat in the garage while I swan about in the Elise. I'd like someone else to have the enjoyment of owning him while I move on in the Lotus world. I'm sure one day someone will realise what a great buy V4 is and rehome him.

Not yet purchased as I'm looking to rehome both the FRP and the Elise to invest in an Exige S2n/a or S2sc. Will happen one day I'm sure its just frustrating that at the moment there is little interest in the FRP.

Sorry to hear your struggling selling V4 Dave, as one of the original 'san-fran' press cars it has history in abundance

ooh the exige is a nice car, its the best upgrade from a nitrous or turbo frp. I think. Similar style handling, just for me impossible to get into and out of...I am in the market for a lotus esprit again, had three over the years, and just love them, this one will be the long termer though. Not sure why just want a nice unusual car...waiting until i can afford my XJ 220.

NOTHING COMPARES TO THE HANDLING OF THE SMALL LOTUS' AND THE EXIGE IS THE BEST OF THEM ALL, ...although i will always love the esprit s4s, amazing car. Just want a V8 this time...

Definitely interested. Would love a press car, just got to scrape a bit more cash together and hope it's still available.
