Just got my new puma, and as sweet looking as it is seems the material thats on one side of the wheel has melted in some kind of hot weather conditions. Weird because i dont remember the last time it reached over 50c in britain lol! Any way of getting some kinda cover for it?

some times the leather/fabric reacts to certain hand sweats and cuases this melting. A good clean may give a temporary solution but if badly affected it will be pretty gunky huh.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

tearing the whole thing off might solve it wink.gif or getting a replacement one and make sure you wear gloves while driving (one possible solution which I came up with smile.gif )

I don't think I've seen a single older Puma without a gunked up melted steering wheel. Common problem unfortunately.

I would avoid washing it if I was you. It will just leave it sticky. Better to replace the wheel completely. They don't make covers that fit the wheel size, I should know, I have spent my entire puma ownership looking!
I'm a loser at the top of my game!
