If it helps anyone who is stressing about noise levels........

Yesterday I did a day around Outlon Park in my Puma, it measured 84db on the static test.

I was running a Sportex 4-2-1 manifold (unwrapped), no cat, race pipe and a standard rear silencer from eurocar parts.

Cheers,

Ben.

Hi All, FYI: Did a Trackday at Bedford Autodrome on Monday. Running (What I believe to be) the Puma Build Piper system. (There is no silencer between the cat and the back box)

96db static at 4.5k (Track limit 101db)

Got the noise card twice near the end and pulled in to avoid giving it the beans near the mic posts Posted Image

Piper series 1 is known to be too noisey for Bedford.
Piper series 2 is a bit quieter.
Mine does 98db at about those revs. Janspeed stainless.
What great weather you had yesterday I think. Looks a very nice circuit Bedford. Did you enjoy your day?

It was pure awesomeness HK! She purred all day long and gave a lot of bigger toys a run for their money :)

Downer was that after a handful of laps (warmed up) it got noticeably louder so I got the noise board and told to ease off around the Mic posts. Bit annoying having to ease off at 4 points around the track so might have to look into silencing as 101db is quite a high limit for a track I think.

Not as bad as the Porsche GTR3 that got kicked off and sent home after 2 laps Posted Image

It was a spankingly hot day at Bedford great fun, great track, I thought it would be a bit open for the Puma but it's mostly corners Posted Image

She picked up a couple of admirers throughout the day too!

Was this the Full GT circuit Rayy or the shorter South-west / SEN circuit?

Full GT circuit, 3.8 miles of pure fun!
Went with a few mates, plan to organise again for next year but might post the date here to see if any fellow cat owners fancy it? Posted Image

As of yesterday at Oulton Park with a 200cell cat it is now 82lb and sounds a bit deeper - not as raspy.

Still not as quick as the Ferrari's though. :roflmao:/>
