I have just brought a 1.7 puma black 2000,first thing is I need to replace sender unit as gauge is all over place and second and urgent issue is that car will run fine then it will lose all power engine will die then I leave it for abit then its fine for a couple of miles then it does it again,it's been plugged on and no faults show, it's like it has ran out of fuel but there is at least half a tank, it is not a overheating problem, I have checked oil and it was very low and I'm wondering if the engine is cutting out as a safety measure to protect its self or could it be a fuel issue although I don't understand why after leaving it for awhile it again runs perfectly fine, please help urgently

Watch your oil level, engine really doesn't like it getting very low.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
