Viewsonic
Samsung (though they have a limited range of widescreens)
LG

Quite a few of the 'unbranded' monitors have rubbish quality screens- be careful. Most people won't notice though unless they know what to look for or have another side-by-side to compare.
There are only a few manufacturers of the panels themselves but they get 'graded' at the factory, guess where the lower grade ones end up...

Have a look here and if you call ask for my mate Kevin Laurie in sales- tell him Colin from OxfordMacs sent you, push him for a deal tongue.gif

You can get a 22" Viewsonic in the UK for £160+VAT and a warranty if you know where to look...

I'd go for a Viewsonic every time rather than a 'white label' jobbie but then I do mostly graphics. Black border monitors give a false sense of colour contrast/saturation with graphics and are frowned upon. Also the Viewsonic isn't a widescreen, this isn't always a problem.

I'm bloody confused.

I have no clue what the differences are between the specs at all.

I think a 19" widescreen or even a 20.1" widescreen would be fine and no more than £150.

Its sometimes used to watch films on aswell as tv.
