Engine Service On Frp008

Been busy on FRP008 last few days.. it really has brought some sparkle back into the car />
It all looked very nice in the engine bay, until I pulled the engine out..then you can soon see the usual oily mess around the oil pump and bottom pulley etc...
think there had been quite a bit of rocker cover leakage over the years, the front part of the engine down by the breather box was plastered in oily dirt....used 8 cans of brake cleaner on this car.. />
Front section now cleaned with new oil valve and thermostat..
now onto removing all the other bits and timing etc...change out the cam seals...remove sump sections + oil pump..change both crank seals...
had the sump sections vapour blasted and refixed them with new High Tensile bolts..
cleaned off all the usual kak off the coolant housing
Fitted a new clutch kit
and timed it all back up again..
also spotted it had the wrong driveshaft on the drivers side after a closer inspection, so had to dash to pumabuild and buy a new Blue shaft for it...
All running a treat now... seems a very responsive car now...

Bet that made a big difference :-) OEM or ST150 clutch?
The shaft becomes a spare now, not a bad outcome.

Thanks Chris, fantastic work as always
It wasn't too bad before but definately feels smoother and more responsive now. I feel a bit better giving it some stick now that the overdue cam belt change is done
Good spot with the driveshaft, especially as someone had tried to hide it with blue paint

One does not simply paint a driveshaft blue and have an FRP driveshaft.
